1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using My Ghostwriter ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

My Ghostwriter is an AI-powered book writing platform that helps users create written works through:

• Full Ghostwriter mode (AI writes based on conversations)
• Partial Ghostwriter mode (AI completes existing manuscripts)
• Co-Writer mode (real-time writing assistance)
• Voice input and transcription
• Audiobook generation with AI or cloned voices

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Subscription & Payments

Pricing

• Book Writing: $10 per month per active project
• Audiobook Generation: $1 per page (one-time charge)

Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. Audiobook charges are one-time and non-refundable once generation begins.

Free Trial

New users may access limited features at no cost. No credit card is required for the free trial.

Refunds

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. If you're unsatisfied, you may cancel at any time. Contact us at billing@myghostwriter.app for exceptional circumstances.

5. Content Ownership

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Generate content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination
• Create misleading or fraudulent content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our AI models
• Overwhelm our systems with automated requests
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent (e.g., content farms)

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist in writing. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may require review and editing
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs
• You are responsible for reviewing content before publication
• AI output may occasionally be similar to existing works unintentionally

8. Voice Cloning

If you use our voice cloning feature for audiobooks:

• You may only clone your own voice or have explicit consent from the voice owner
• You may not clone voices of public figures without authorization
• You are responsible for any misuse of cloned voices
• We reserve the right to refuse voice cloning requests

9. Invite a Storyteller

When you invite someone to tell their story through our platform:

• You confirm you have the invitee's consent to receive the invitation
• The invitee must agree to these Terms before participating
• Both parties share responsibility for the content created
• Either party may request content removal

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by My Ghostwriter and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI-generated content will be free from errors
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Ghostwriter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the Service.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, you may export your content. Your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which My Ghostwriter operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
